This below grade carpark (basement), beneath the 10,000 m2 office block was waterproofed using Xypex Concentrate and Modified. The above grade joints, in the cargo area, were sealed and made watertight with Xypex FCM 80 and Patch’nPlug. Spray-applied bitumen was also considered for this project. However, unlike spray-applied bitumen, no final finish was required over the Xypex-treated concrete surfaces. This led to large project cost savings and in addition, two months of construction time was saved by choosing Xypex products. Xypex was previously used on the Bank of Ghana Cash Processing Center by the same construction firm “EnergoProjekt”. This repetition demonstrates their confidence in Xypex products.
