Minera Panama, also known as Cobre Panama, is a 136 km² open-pit copper mine located 120 km west of Panama City, 20 km from the Caribbean Coast. Known resources are more than 3 billion tonnes of copper. Xypex Concentrate was used to waterproof and protect the conveyor tunnels for the mine and Xypex Admix provided chemical protection to various parts of the processing plant.
