Water Treatment Plant Sainte-Félicité
Sainte-Félicité,
Canada
The municipality of Sainte-Félicité, Quebec, Canada, constructed a new water treatment plant, including a new tank, service building, and the development and connection of two wells. Xypex’s advanced crystalline technology was used to ensure permanent waterproofing and protection of critical concrete infrastructure, particularly the reservoir’s wet well foundations and concrete apron, providing lasting durability and self-healing capabilities within the concrete structure.

Admix C-500 was added to the concrete during batching for the foundations and apron. Xypex’s crystalline technology ensures that microcracks up to 0.5 mm self-heal, significantly reducing maintenance costs and extending the structure’s lifespan. Integrating Xypex Admix C-500 guarantees protection against water egress, even in extreme conditions, ensuring the reservoir’s durability and operational efficiency for years to come.
This project exemplifies Xypex’s commitment to providing sustainable, long-lasting waterproofing solutions, reinforcing the structural integrity of essential infrastructure in the water holding sector.
