Positioned directly adjacent to the Baltic Sea, the project faced intense hydrogeological challenges, specifically regarding the underground parking level which is subject to high groundwater levels and constant hydrostatic pressure.

To ensure long-term durability and structural integrity, a complete Xypex waterproofing solution was implemented for the district's extensive underground parking facility. More than 3,000 m3 of concrete was treated with Xypex Admix C 1000 NF. By integrating the crystalline technology at the batching stage, the concrete itself became a permanent, waterproof barrier. This approach eliminated the need for external membranes, providing a self-sealing solution that protects the reinforcement steel against the corrosive marine environment and high water table.
