LIDL Logistics Center Compressor Room Waterproofing

To ensure long-term protection, XYPEX Concentrate and XYPEX Modified crystalline waterproofing products were selected. A total area of approximately 700 m² was treated. XYPEX Concentrate forms the foundation for reliable waterproofing, its active chemical components penetrate deep into the concrete, where they create an insoluble crystalline structure that fills pores and capillaries.

This process makes the concrete resistant to water pressure from both the positive and negative sides. Meanwhile, XYPEX Modified was applied as an additional layer, enhancing the system’s overall performance and providing even greater resistance to aggressive environments. This combination ensures not only dependable protection against moisture but also long-term resistance to chemicals, petroleum products, and other substances commonly present in industrial settings.

Key advantages of the chosen technology:
• Protection against water penetration: concrete becomes impermeable even under high pressure.
• Resistance to chemicals and oils: a crucial property in compressor rooms that are in constant contact with contaminants.
• Self-healing of cracks: the crystalline structure can seal cracks up to 0.5 mm, extending the structure’s service life.
• Non-toxic and environmentally friendly: XYPEX products are completely safe for both people and the environment.

The successful implementation of this project demonstrates that XYPEX crystalline technology provides a reliable solution even for the most demanding industrial environments. By using XYPEX Concentrate and XYPEX Modified, the LIDL Logistics Center achieved long-term, sustainable, and cost-effective waterproofing, ensuring the durability and resilience of its compressor room structures.
