The project includes new wastewater treatment structures designed for continuous exposure to moisture, aggressive wastewater environments, and long-term operational demands. Xypex crystalline waterproofing systems were selected to provide integral and surface protection across multiple concrete elements.

Approximately 2,200 m³ of concrete were treated with Xypex Admix C-500 crystalline waterproofing admixture, delivering integrated protection against water ingress and chemical attack. In addition, approximately 550 pails of Xypex Concentrate were applied to selected concrete surfaces to provide supplemental waterproofing and durability.

Localized concrete repairs were completed using Xypex Megamix II and Xypex Patch’n Plug to address minor defects and ensure consistency of the waterproofing system. The combined approach enabled the project team to integrate waterproofing directly into new concrete construction while addressing repair and detailing requirements efficiently during construction. The Xypex crystalline systems support long-term durability, reduce maintenance requirements, and extend service life for critical wastewater infrastructure. Ongoing collaboration between the owner, engineer, contractor, applicator, and distributor contributed to successful execution throughout the multi-year construction schedule.
