The Hazen and Sawyer team opted for Xypex Megamix II for the rehabilitation project, drawing from their positive past experiences with the product. This repair mortar is specifically designed for patching and resurfacing deteriorated concrete, offering a remarkable combination of attributes. 

Boasting superior bonding, minimal shrinkage, chemical durability, and exceptional strength, Xypex Megamix versatility allows for application via spray or trowel, with a thickness range of 3/8" to 2 inches (10-50 mm) per layer. During the rehabilitation process, observations revealed concrete degradation on the walls and troughs, necessitating repairs due to missing concrete and exposed rebar. 
The contractor followed ICRI concrete standards to patch deteriorated areas with Megamix II then spray-applied it over the entire concrete surface, covering 55,000 sq. ft. at a depth of ½ inch. 

Upon completion of repairs, the clarifiers resumed operation in April 2022, poised to support Hollywood's population for years to come. Despite delays caused by the pandemic and supply chain disruptions, the North Florida Xypex Representative ensured the timely delivery of the products and stayed with the project from start to finish, culminating in impressive results.
