The project involved new reinforced concrete structures supporting aquatic and ancillary facilities intended for long term community use. Construction was carried out under schedule constraints and limited budget resources, requiring a waterproofing approach that could be efficiently integrated into the concrete without adding installation complexity. The project demanded durable protection against water ingress while maintaining constructability within a tight construction window.

Xypex Admix C-500 NF crystalline waterproofing admixture was specified and incorporated into the concrete at the time of batching. Crystalline technology reacts with moisture and cement hydration by-products to form insoluble crystals that reduce concrete permeability and provide permanent waterproofing. The integral solution reduced on site labor, minimized installation steps, and enhanced long term durability with reduced maintenance requirements for municipal recreational infrastructure.
