React Webinar

Not every concrete crack requires the same response and faster isn’t always better unless it creates real project value.

On October 6, Xypex North America is hosting a webinar focused on Xypex React, a crack-healing accelerator designed specifically to work with Xypex Admix-treated concrete.
We’ll look at the questions that matter from an engineering perspective: which cracks qualify, where React fits within the Xypex system, how the crystalline mechanism works, and when another repair approach may be more appropriate.

If you design or specify water-retaining, wastewater, below-grade or other schedule-sensitive concrete structures, we think you’ll find the discussion worthwhile.

Join us on October 6 and see where React fits.

Saint-Isidore Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade

The Municipality of Saint-Isidore began an important upgrade to its wastewater treatment facility. The project introduced new concrete structures designed to improve hydraulic performance, increase treatment capacity, extend the facility’s service life, and meet updated environmental standards.

With wastewater environments presenting ongoing challenges from corrosion, chemicals, and water ingress, long-term durability was a key consideration. Xypex Bio-San was incorporated to provide integral waterproofing and protection against microbially induced corrosion.

With upgraded infrastructure designed for greater capacity, performance, and long-term durability, the project is built to meet today’s demands and address tomorrow’s challenges.

Filling Tie-Holes in Xypex Bio-San C500 Treated Concrete

In wastewater structures, even the smallest opening can become a pathway for water—and a weak point in an otherwise protected concrete structure.

Form tie holes are one of those details. When Xypex Bio-San C500 is used in sewage infrastructure, the tie holes need to be properly detailed to maintain the integrity of the waterproofing system.

Xypex provides recommended procedures for sealing gang form taper ties and cone snap ties, using Xypex repair materials to create a durable, waterproof repair from the sewage side of the concrete.

Building Longer. Repair Less. Reduce Environmental Impact.

Sustainable construction isn’t just about what goes into a structure. It’s about how long that structure lasts.

Xypex helps make concrete infrastructure more durable, reducing the need for repairs and replacement while supporting lower lifecycle impacts. With a reported 60% lower carbon footprint than traditional waterproofing membranes and coatings, no VOCs, and third-party verified EPDs and HPDs, Xypex brings sustainability into the concrete itself.

Xypex Waterproofing & Enhanced Durability for Tunnels

Every tunnel has the same challenge: keep water out—and keep the structure performing for decades.

From transportation tunnels to water conveyance and underground infrastructure, concrete faces constant hydrostatic pressure, groundwater, aggressive environments, and the demands of construction. Xypex becomes part of the concrete, providing integral waterproofing, enhanced durability, and crystalline self-healing protection from within.

NTUA Shiprock Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion

The NTUA Shiprock Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion will double treatment capacity to approximately 2 million gallons per day—replacing aging infrastructure with a facility designed for long-term performance.

But infrastructure built to last starts with the concrete. For the plant’s influent channels, aeration basins, and treatment tanks, Xypex Admix C-500 NF was incorporated directly into approximately 3,000 cubic yards of concrete, providing integral waterproofing, reduced permeability, and enhanced durability from within.

Dubai Metro

Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines are a vital part of the city’s transportation network. But beneath the surface, persistent moisture was taking its toll on the concrete around the tunnel channel drains.

The challenge was clear: how do you protect an existing tunnel without replacing the concrete?

The solution was Xypex Concentrate. Rather than remove and rebuild the affected areas, Xypex was applied to approximately 3.5 km of channel drains, providing additional protection to the existing concrete against water and liquid penetration.

An existing tunnel. A persistent problem. Read more about how Xypex is designed to work within the concrete.
