Strengthening Memphis’ Wastewater Infrastructure

The T.E. Maxson Wastewater Treatment Facility serves more than 230,000 residents and processes more than 70 million gallons of water per day. After years of microbial-induced corrosion threatened its trickling filters, the facility required a durable, long-term solution.

The answer was Xypex Megamix II with Bio-San, which delivers antimicrobial protection, chemical resistance, and integral waterproofing. The upgrade not only repaired critical structures but also extended service life, reduced maintenance costs, and safeguarded the future of this essential municipal asset.

Sustainable Strength in Lévis, Quebec

The Pointe-Benson Park Below-Grade Tank faced the challenge of harsh freeze-thaw conditions. To deliver lasting durability, the project team turned to Xypex Admix C-500 as a superior alternative to traditional membranes.

With integral crystalline waterproofing, the solution provided self-healing microcracks, faster construction, and reduced maintenance costs. The result is a cost-effective, sustainable structure engineered to withstand both time and climate — ensuring reliable performance for years to come.

Assessing Long-Term Concrete Permeability: An Independent Test Report Summary on Xypex Admix C-Series Performance

How durable is concrete when tested over time? An independent study of Xypex Admix C-Series tracked performance at 28, 90, 180, and 360 days — showing a dramatic reduction in permeability thanks to continued crystallization.

This article breaks it down clearly — why it matters, how the testing was done, and what the results mean for long-term durability.

Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium – Great Oceans Hall, Springfield, Missouri, USA

At the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield, Missouri, the construction of the Great Oceans Hall required massive saltwater tanks, including a 300,000-gallon Ring Tank and a three-storey Great Barrier Reef habitat. To ensure durability against saltwater corrosion, the project team specified over 34,000 lbs of Xypex Admix C-500, integrated directly into the concrete foundations, floors, and walls. This provided permanent waterproofing and crack-healing protection, safeguarding the aquariums for their service life and helping establish WOW as one of the top-ranked aquariums in the United States.

Gulf Mall – Al Gharafa, Qatar

At the Gulf Mall in Al Gharafa, the challenge was to ensure long-term durability and waterproofing for heavily used wet areas. The project team selected Xypex Concentrate and Patch’n Plug to protect the concrete in water tanks, lift pits, sewage tanks, and high-moisture spaces such as public toilets, cleaning zones, and cold storage. The result is a resilient retail facility with reliable protection across critical service areas.
