  • Ford Australia Head Office

    Campbellfield, Victoria, Australia

Xypex Megamix I & II in conjunction with Xypex Concentrate were used in rehabilitation work at the national head office of Ford Australia, Victoria. An existing wall in the cooling tower room was subjected to the overspray of chemicals including chlorine & bio-solids for a period of 40 years. The gradual degradation of the concrete wall resulted in spalling and surface pitting of the wall. Spall repairs were completed by Xypex Megamix II. Xypex Concentrate slurry was applied for the entire wall surface, followed by a coat of Megamix I, providing a smooth surface.
  • 799 Clifton Road (Home Repair)

    Atlanta, Georgia, USA

This 1915 home, designed by renowned Atlanta architect Neel Reid, is located in the historic Druid Hills neighborhood. It was updated by owner and architect Sheila Lee Davies, AIA, in 2019. The full renovation included the main house and a cottage, and the addition of a new meditation pavilion, swimming pool and garage. Persistent water seepage in a cast-in-place concrete tunnel underground walkway linking the house to the pavilion was sealed with Xypex crystalline waterproofing products.
  • Iecava Stadium

    Iecava, Latvia

The grandstand of newly build stadium was waterproofed by 2 coat application of Xypex Concentrate and Modified. Below grandstand are storage facilities which needed to be protected against any leaks and seeping moisture. Owner decided to replace originally considered polyurethane product with Xypex due to lower cost and easier application.
  • IKEA Facility

    Bandung, Indonesia

Construction began in early 2020 at the 4.5 ha Bandung site, with the actual IKEA building structure planned to cover an area of approximately 35,000 m2. IKEA consultants chose Xypex Admix C-Series as the stand-alone waterproofing material for the grey water tank, domestic water tanks, fire water tanks, generator rooms, and loading docks. The client chose on-site dosing of their ‘waterproof’ concretes, so to ensure that the Xypex Admix dosage rates and mixing processes could be carefully controlled and carried out in accordance with established standard procedures. The client has also accrued extra value because the ‘application’ of Xypex Admix is a much simpler process, employing a smaller work force on site for shorter periods of time – an unplanned yet most significant ‘bonus’ during of the advent of COVID-19 in 2020 – whilst always maintaining an assured quality outcome.
  • CPC Baoji Municipal Party School

    Baoji, Shaanxi Province, China

The CPC Baoji Party School project was built by the Baoji City Party School of the Communist Party of China. The relocation project covered 220 mu within a total construction area of 72,000 m2 and a basement floor area of 10,000 m2. The civil air defense projects beneath the project area made concrete waterproofing requirements extremely strict. Xypex Admix was selected and successfully applied to the basement’s floor, side walls and top plate.
  • Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City

    Tianjin, China

The Eco-City is the result of an agreement between the governments of China and Singapore to jointly develop a sustainable urbanization model for an environmentally friendly and resource-conserving city. Jijing New City, located at the entry to the eco-city, is a large-scale commercial complex. Because Xypex Concentrate is environmentally friendly, permanent, and receptive to other maintenance materials, it was used to waterproof and protect 60,000 m2 of the underground structure.
  • Xiamen Airlines Ancient Stone Plaza

    Xiamen, Fujian Province, China

The ancient aviation stone square, a literary and artistic commercial complex, was built by Xiamen Airlines Development. The square is on an island surrounded by the sea and nearby lakes, with a resulting high level of groundwater creating considerable hydrostatic pressure and causing concrete corrosion. To waterproof and protect the building the owner selected Xypex Concentrate for the foundation, the side walls and roof of the basement.
  • Niushoushan Foding Palace

    Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China

The Foding Palace is themed on worshiping the relics of parietal bones of the Buddha and houses the only Buddha roof relic in the world. It’s a deep pit building of nine floors with the Relic Palace at the bottom, 44 meters underground. Because of the delicateness of the interior décor, a concrete waterproofing system to both handle high water pressure and enhance durability, was critical. Xypex became the obvious choice and, over time has proven to be the best option for waterproofing and protecting the Relic Palace.
  • China Hash Neutron Source (CSNS)

    Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China

The China Spallation Neutron source (CSNS) is the third largest spallation neuron source device in the world. It was jointly constructed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the People’s Government of Guandong Province. During its early construction, the failure of an external membrane waterproofing material resulted in serious leakage in the basement. Anticipating the installation of sophisticated scientific research equipment in the underground area, plus the high rainfall and water level in the Dongguan region, a concrete waterproofing and protection system that would prevent any potential leakage problems was needed. Based on thorough research and awareness of the successful experience and application of Xypex on the Japanese Neutron Source Project, Xypex was deemed the best choice. 40 tons of Xypex was used.
  • Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

    Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China

This research institute provides giant panda research and breeding, conservation and tourism education. During construction, the giant panda animal house, the paddling pool and other facilities, required concrete waterproofing and protection. However, with the safety and health of the giant panda being paramount, concrete waterproofing technology had to meet very strict environmental and drinking water standards. Xypex fulfilled all requirements and was successfully applied.
