Some typical design features include hex-shaft system, adjustable height handle, vacuum connection, maneuverability, a vibration dampening system, a mechanism the allows easy control of the working width.
CRACK CHASER (FLOOR APPLICATION)
Follows cracks in the concrete and uniformly opens them for remedial work. Very maneuverable, this unit is used in preparatory work for many types of repairs without damage to the concrete mass. Various diameters of tungsten carbide-tipped bits are available in addition to the standard 7/8 in. (22.2 mm) size.
COMPRESSOR
Suitable for above air tools as well as spray equipment. We suggest minimum 125 cubic feet per minute (3.5 m3) at 120 psi (827 kPa) capacity. Required accessories include water separator, automatic oiler and a 3/4 in. (20 mm) air hose with quick release connectors.
MIXING EQUIPMENT
MIXING PAIL
For most applications we recommend a 5 gal (19 litre) metal or plastic pail. When mixing by mechanical tool, a metal pail is usually preferable, since mixing blades can create scrapings from the sides of a plastic pail and combine with mixture.
ELECTRIC DRILL AND MIXING PADDLE
We suggest a 1/2 in. (12.5 mm) heavy-duty, reversible drill with a 450 rpm low speed capability. The "mud-mixer" paddle produces a smooth lump and bubble-free Xypex mixture. The hex-shaped shaft has vertical blades that mix and fold at the same time.
APPLICATION EQUIPMENT
