REPAIR OF DEFECTIVE CONCRETE, ROCK POCKETS AND HONEYCOMBS

Step 1
Rout out faulty concrete to sound concrete.

Step 2
Remove all loose materials and saturate area with water. Allow time for concrete to absorb water, then remove all free-standing water.

Step 3
Apply a slurry coat of Xypex Concentrate to cavity area at a coverage of 1.5 lb./sq. yd. (0.8 kg/m2).

Step 4
While slurry coat is still tacky, fill cavity to surface with non-shrink grout. For large patches, the use of a bonding agent is recommended.

Step 5
Allow patch to set, then apply a slurry coat of Xypex Concentrate over repaired area at a coverage of 1.5 lb./sq. yd. (0.8 kg/m2).

Step 6
Cure by fog spraying periodically with water for two days or apply Xypex Gamma Cure immediately after the slurry coat has set.
